From May 30th to June 3rd Montreal is having a festival dedicated to Canada's favourite drink, beer. The 14th annual "Mondial de la Bier" is a must see event for anyone who is going to be in Montreal looking for some fun.

The event is held each summer in the city and this year more features have been added to respond to its overwhelming popularity from last year. The new additions to Beer Festival 2007 will include:

• Special-edition beers, brewed for the event and available only during the festival run.
• Tasty beer cocktails.
• The beer playoffs.
• From Québec: The bistro-brewpub Trou du diable from Shawinigan and the microbrewery Au Maître Brasseur from Laval will be participating in the Mondial de la bière festival for the first time.

Even with the new additions, Beer Festival 2007 is still offering its classic events:

• Beer and fine dining soirée on Friday, June 1, at Le Windsor ballroom, 1170 Peet St.
• 19 beer and cheese workshops
• Tasting guide available at a cost of $2, to use all year long!
• Beer contest and MBeer conference
• At the Petit-Pub, more than 90 different beers born in the U.S.A., and 35 imports from Europe.

The festival is boasting 350 new products waiting to be sampled which will be including 100 different beers. Go and be one of the first to discover that new taste of beer. The greatest feature about Beer Festival 2007 is that the admission is free. That means that more can be spent taking home your favourite limited edition beer.
