Signs of Pregnancy within the First Month
Your first month of pregnancy can be determined when your ovulation period lasts. By knowing the date of your last period, you can estimate the gestational age and date of delivery. First Month of Pregnancy: As you know, conception occurs within twenty four hours of ovulation and 14 days after your last period, the egg and sperm are found in one third of the fallopian tube and travel over a period 7 days coming to settle in the uterus. Once in the uterus, the fertilized egg implants in the endometrium (the inner membrane of your uterus) that is ready and is full of nutrients to meet the requirements of the egg. Immediately, hormonal and chemical signals like fatigue, nausea, and vomiting are sent to your body as a sign that you are pregnant, and as your ovulation has already occurred as a consequence you will not get a menstrual period which is an early sign of pregnancy. At this particular stage your baby in medical words is called as a blastocyst and measures 0.1 to 0.2 mm. At the end of the fourth week of pregnancy, the umbilical cord is formed and then you get suspicious that you are pregnant.
Different symptoms and signs of pregnancy within the first month:
Fatigue: Fatigue and tiredness is due to the changes going inside your body because your body is producing a lot of energy and needs a lot of time to rest and recuperate. Some women also feel more fatigued during pregnancy as they engage in some strenuous activities or simply resist sleep after dinner. Though it is highly recommended that you must be active during pregnancy but it is also recommended to prevent and avoid strenuous activities.Nausea and Vomiting:
Typically, nausea starts early in the morning waking you up from your sleep and sometimes you need to go to the bathroom to vomit. Even a glass of water can cause gagging. For some, nausea usually occurs when they are awake, but can last all day. It is said that nausea happens because of a part of a system that protects the woman's body during the most delicate stage of the formation of the baby.
Bloodstains:
For some women during the first months of pregnancy, they continue to menstruate around the same dates that would have the period causing some confusion.
Sensitivity of smell:
Another mechanism of protection for the baby at the time of pregnancy is the rejection of certain smells such as highly strong things like coffee or pollution.
Cravings:
Cravings are just having the body need a certain nutrient that is required by your baby. Sometimes it happens with the mother that they go to sleep after having their full meal and then suddenly in the middle of the night they start feel cravings but many do not know that these cravings are not coming from just their body but coming because the baby inside their body is hungry and needs food.
Pain in breasts:
The areola begins to darken, breasts and nipples protrude and swell outside. It is one of the first symptoms you notice in a pregnant woman and will make her suspicious of her new state.
Discomfort in the pelvic area:
Some women also feel discomfort in the pelvic area, especially lower abdomen, but if you notice a very sharp pain, please consult your doctor.
Frequent urination:
Because of hormonal changes, women urinate more often during pregnancy and also due to the weight and pressure that starts to build up on the bladder.
