A Dream A While Ago (poem)

In a dream I had a while ago

What was me was lost amidst its flow

World less real was left so far below

Hands of time were paths I didn’t know

Dream imagined entered to my view

Then I knew that magic can come true

To my side the way of stars then drew

Kiss would open door I wandered through

Memories were made of long ago

Wonders fashioned moments oh so true

World a backdrop on which dreamers drew

I love her is only truth I know

Morning’s promise graced forever’s view

Hope’s light blessed the manner of our flow

Dancing above clouds if doubt below

Ever’s course would see this treasure through

Sunrise claimed the truth I came to know

Left a heart to sigh there far below

Waiting to retouch a magic flow
