A New Morning (poem)
To see her there brought morning’s fair delight
Which smooths away the hours held in dark
Abysses that we turned into our park
What hugs and kisses will this day ignite
-
What styles this smile which warms my heart
From bitter winter which once was our youth
Where sounds of laughter were another’s truth
Perchance a glance into a brand new start
-
Now listen bliss and kiss her gentle song
No longer simple screaming of a child
Abused by parents defiled dreams reviled
A hope to help us cope with love this strong
-
And from our murky mires of despair
To see her greet the morning standing there
