Battlefield (An Original Poem by Tina Marie)
My heart loved you so
but I had to let you go
the pain you caused; too deep for words.
My Jesus will bind up the wounds I carry
as If they were those of a soldier on a battlefield.
Cuts so deep, only the hand of God could heal
no one else can.
He will bind up my wounds
the doctor of miracles.
My recovery will be slow
but at last my heart will learn
to be cautious in unknown territory.
