Be Happy With Small Changes

Too often we are so caught up in where we want to be

We forget to enjoy the journey

Look around you and see the littlest things

Everything from a picture on the wall

Down to the window trim

You will begin to notice all the things you would normally miss

Appreciating the colors of each

How different would the world would be

If it was just black and white

So plain and boring

I love seeing so many color combinations

To often we take it for granted

Accepting everything the way it is

Only later in life when our eye sight isn't as keen

Where things don't look so clear and crisp

We look at the smallest words and squint

Now so thankful for the whole world we see

Knowing every day it could change

The way we think and love

For those who have worn glasses all their life

They could teach us a thing or two

What it is like when you forget your glasses

The whole world doesn't care

It is up to you to take care of your eyes

To cherish every view

Now instead of rushing to get things done

When I am waiting at a car appointment or listening for our number to be called so we can be seated at a local restaurant

I sit and relax

Looking at the colors on the floor and all the different angles and shapes

My thoughts keep creating a series of an endless list of questions

A giant list of what if"s

I know in time I will forget

Then once again when I pick up piece of paper with different colors on it

My mind will trigger

Some old thoughts I have once forgotten

Living in a life filled with every color option

I am trying to hold back my excitement

A little patience goes along way
