I admire birds' prediction of weather - they understand the weather so well !
It’s early in the morning, I am up from bed
and looking outside through the window.
The sky is enveloped with thick black cloud
And there is occasional sound of thunder
to indicate that it would rain any minute.
A lonely bird is on the lamp post
to take a stock of the situation.
She looks up in the sky for quite sometime,
possibly to wonder, if it would now be safe to fly in the sky !
The wind that starts to blow makes her happy.
She is now restless and excitedly takes a short flight
and returns to the same spot.
The clouds start to disappear gently
in the distant horizon.
She looks up in the sky again and again
And then starts to twitter loudly
to tell her children and friends
that the weather is getting better!
She waits for a while for them to come out
from their nests and as they do, she flies away in the sky merrily
with the others following her confidently and their twittering fills the air.
The Sun slowly begins to come in view
spreading its glowing light across the sky.
The beauty of the Mother Nature captivates my mind.
I come out to the open and watch the birds in great admiration.
I bow my head to these loving little creatures
who understand the weather so well,
can predict the weather far better than we, the humans, can !
