Blessings ( a poem of inspiration )
The finest air, the blessed cleanest of spirit,
And a freshness, enhanced... one so unique,
Those heights... beyond, above the highest peak,
We find its greatest worth, only if we, but seek.
The purest, in this, our very breaths of life,
We are served, this for our work, in kind,
A seeking in unison, by all, as a just attempt,
Our best, and then never to be left behind.
The sea...our deep, never relinquishing tides,
To bathe the welcoming and loving shore,
Fond oceans of blues and finest greens...
Bright birds to serenade us, that we adore.
Waters that provide the greatest gifts of life...
Should not we preserve them, exempting strife,
The necessity and its ever lasting source...
A common denominator, justly, without force?
The gift of sun..its photosynthesis, always done,
A bright and shining light of hope...as each day is run.
What limits, pollution to cause, so dumped and spread,
About the globe..its defeated auras....in flames of red?
Can't we save the earthen clay, our cherished soil..
Rewarding us for much work and our hands to toil?
The richness, all greenery, so much growth to build,
Providing the shade...ours heated days to shield?
The food and nourishment, so vital, just to survive,
Helping creatures, all who live here, each to thrive...
What is to happen when it's all but gone, is no more,
By greedy hands...such carelessness, by the score?
Is ours, to stand together, and now hear the call,
Save the earth, beloved planet...home to all.
Without our help, a devoted and caring society,
A loss so great...this grand world, its sanctity.
