Blood tears...A vampire poem

tears of blood

How can it be that tears fill your eyes?

Staggering back dripping blood

I almost believe your heart broken cries

As together we fall into the mud

Your soul wrenching sobs filling the dark

Gasping for each burning breath

As you twist the stake closer to my heart

Lips touch tasting the coming death

Your soft guilty pleas all I hear

As my hand raises high

Bloody fingers shaking as I wipe tears

Unable to bear seeing you cry

From the first time I saw you in the light

I knew you were mine

So I dragged you into the deep night

This was only a matter of time

Sweet fresh and oh so young

Your new fangs shining perfect

But not all things can be undone

And I die with a heart of regret

My love please forgive me

For taking you far away

Making something you didn't want to be

And stealing you from the light of day

But nothing can reverse my kiss

Before you fell into deaths embrace

You will be and are forever mine

Despite the blood tears on my face

So as I fade into ashes and dust

Leaving you alone in the night air

In my word you will finally trust

Vampire hunters never ever care

They have used you my little dove

There is no cure for death

So press in and destroy our love

As you desperately seek your living breath

But come the rising sun

You will still be a creature of the night

Left alone with what you’ve done

Forever trapped in your plight

There is no reversing my kiss

And in the coming day

Your undead heart won’t be missed

No matter what the hunters say

So scream your pain into the dark

Desperate to get free

The stake finally piercing my broken heart

Your tears the last thing I see……

It's been too long since I dived into one of your dark delights. You have a gift at being deliciously wicked. Thumbs up!

Isaac :)

feeling sorry for the vampire? then my job here is done :)

as much as vampires are the monsters of myth, there is just something tragically romantic about the thought of them falling in love and all the problems that may come with that.

I am so glad that you enjoyed this tragic little love poem of mine and I look forward to visiting your pages soon

...your tears the last thing I see ..... one of the most chilling lines I've ever read ...... no wonder when I leave here , scared shiteless, lol, I always remember to my hub crypt and write a dark one - lol.

You see, you are most definitely my horror genre muse and I thought it was my love life that was scaring me - lol - well at least I have the love of my cats, Tiffy and Gabriel, and the online friendship, support and the interaction of my hub friends.

Sending you warm wishes on a rather bleak night of a rain/snow mix and sending you some good energy too at lake erie time canada 8:51pm

ah, the dark holds many sweet dark delights for us writers to explore and I love being able to share my love of this genre with so many.

I am always thrilled to think that I may inspire other great writers such as yourself to delve into the depths of the human soul, for fear is such a great motivator and so many of us enjoy being scared, reveling almost in the emotions that horror can bring to the surface.

thrilled as always that you enjoyed this! thank you!!
