Boo To You

Updated on October 5, 2012

Halloween Is Here

Every year I look around the store and see so many different kinds of candy

I never wait to the last minute just incase there is no good candy left

I walk around and pick up bag after bag as if I was the kid on Halloween night

What kind of goodies would I like

I love all kinds of chocolate

From Snickers bars to the wonderful Kit Kats

Musketeer and Hershey bars are a must

Throw in some lollipops and bags of chips

There are so many more I forget all their names

When I come home from food shopping I put everything away

The candy I leave in one big bag

If I put it in the cabnet I will tend to eat it

If I leave it on the counter It will find a way into my hands and then into my mouth

Then like magic it disappears

So off to the couch I go lay down

Then it seemed like seconds later and I could hear all voices and loud noises

I woke up startled and surprised

There was a ghost standing by my side

I could hear more voices yelling trick or treat

I jumped to my feet running by a witch and a cute Fairy Princess

I reached into my bag of candy and pulled out handfuls

I love to see their faces

So happy to be in their favoirte costume

The mothers and fathers who hold the little childrens hand

When they struggle to hold up their little plastic pumkin filled with treats

I have never seen so many kids

It reminds me when I was little

The streets where lined with costumes of all kinds

Who could forget bloody Dracula and the fancy Cow girl

Cinderella and the mean wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz

In two hours all my candy was gone

I had bought extra just incase

Even a few more kids came and I went into my cabnet to find anything

I reached for a Box of Kudos and my favorite M&m's tucked in the corner

Then before long my cabnets were empty

Another group of kids came and this time I went into the refridgerator

I gave them bottles of Snapple and Ice tea

i could hear all the children thank me one at a time

Another wave of children and I know I had nothing left

Then I went into my freezer I had a bag of Charleston Chews chilling

I reached hand over hand to give each one

Then I got to the last one

No one in sight

I opened the wrapper and took a bite

Wow what a night

I have never seen so many kids and great costumes

My phone rang it was my neighbor she was going to the store

She was going to pick up some last minute candy for Halloween tomorrow night

What!!

How could it be ?

I was spooked by lots of spirits

They got the jump on me

They just couldn't wait to Halloween night
