Deaths dream-a dark poem
The night was so dark
With only flashes to light the way
I couldn’t stop the fearful beat of my heart
My lips never ceasing to pray
Every step betraying me
As I draw closer to the dark gate
So desperate to touch, so keen to see
The final acts of my dark fate
Across the threshold I enter
So close I can smell every part of you
Your enslaved reluctant lover
Drawn in by your black voodoo
To kneel at your feet
On cold unfeeling stone
Your smile and touch revelling in my defeat
As you sit back on your throne
The dead dance silent
In your grey forgotten halls
The walls painted with forgotten violence
As over the roof demons crawl
Yet I am lost in your eyes
Even as my soul uselessly screams
Your kiss cold and deep as your claim your prize
Waking nightmare turning into deaths dream
Onto bloody sheets we fall
Your cold dead body now warm
Filled with my blood, my life, my all
My throat bloody and torn
But no blessed darkness
Rises to take away my pain
Crimson blood binds me to my dark mistress
As from the dead I rise again
Claimed by your dark obsession
Enslaved warrior of the blood cursed
Lost to all life’s care and true passion
Filled now with your never ending thirst
Under the endless night sky
My heartbroken denial I scream
Watching everything I love wither and die
Trapped forever in deaths dream
