Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (poem)
Didn’t I tell you to go
The person who you search for
Doesn’t live here anymore
-
Gone are his ways
Questions he’d raise
Magic display
His morning’s rays
End to dismays
Wonders ablaze
Nothing but praise
Gone are those days
Didn’t I tell you to go
-
The person who you search for
Doesn’t live here anymore
-
No more to believe
No fairytales weave
Which life would conceive
No tricks up some sleeve
For human reprieve
No note did he leave
No clues to retrieve
It’s hard to conceive
Didn’t I ask you to go
What you are searching for
-
Doesn’t live here anymore
-
Emptiness now fills his place
No more can his smile embrace
Without him must our future face
Memories now weave a trace
Essences in hearts now pace
In our soul it finds its space
In us he has found his grace
Now up to us a way replace
And so we ask you to go
For the one whom you search for
Doesn’t live here anymore
