Enchanted Autumn (a poem of a season's inspiration)
Autumn of fine enchantment, we're stricken,
and each of us, to be so enthralled,
Your beautiful garb, the spectrum of colors,
Fine leaves of beauty, in the Fall.
Beneath tree limbs, wild creatures stir,
Preparing for cold weather's change,
Across hill and dale, you cast your spell,
A broad Kaleidoscope, you arrange.
Reds and yellows, oranges and Gold,
All leaflets clad, in the charm you hold.
Sweeping high mountain tops, all in rows,
Broad valleys below, to unfold.
The majestic pallet of such gifted hands,
Painted in care, to portray each scene,
Such wonders, in dreams. as how it seems,
A creator of moods, bold, or serene.
October, November, your times to remember,
As December to await, upon its stage,
Days we all so admire, you so well to inspire,
Ours to Mark, the calendar's special page.
