Ever Lasting Love

Love

Source

I gave my love

free and clear

with the sweetness of innocence

a light and airy cheer

no cause for concern

or doubt of lasting.

Gifts giving freely

often taken for granted,

ever casually

tossed aside

dusty with neglect.

Instead of the age of bitterness,

I relish the thoughts

of love and loss

how free it is

unrestricted love.

Though you think

broken spirits

haggard hearts

lay in your wake,

antipathy and acrimony

are yours alone.

Regrets never last

for love fills my soul

awaiting new friends

and adventures.

No broken hearts

inside of me

love flows through each vein

forever lasting.

Great affirmative for lost love, just keep loving and more will come your way.

When you are closed off from love, you keep yourself from experiencing the joy of love and the possibility to find love again.
