Starry-eyed: A Poem
I bet the stars look divine in your eyes,
But they don't sympathize with mine,
They see hollow bones of yellow tones,
Instead of diamonds and precious stones,
They see black clouds with punctured holes,
Instead of a dark expanse with a brilliant soul,
I bet the stars look divine in your eyes,
But they'll never endeavor to look at mine.
