Faithful Yellow Tablets

Faithful Yellow Tablets.

Old faithful yellow tablet

My drug of choice...

a perscription pad

for when I'm feeling

Just write.

No binders coiled to

shred my fine edge

just preforations

in my soul

ripped free.

Wide ruled, I rule

its achers

of canary and blues,
where I plant seeds of hopes

and bury my depression.

It is my

rectangled paint box
thoughts leap here
in bold splashes,
walking across its thin lines,

like acrobats on tight ropes

balancing each syncopated step.

A brush sweeping litter-a-ture
each word stroked in hopeful arrays
to tempt the readers eye.

Any old instrument will do,
ball points roll in dizzying loops
spinning a mixture

of alphabet soup.

Pencils stencil duplicates
of what the soul has rendered

in endless leadaches
and that sweet perforated edge.
allows me to censor,
any wasted efforts penned,

crumpled like forgotten dreams

into a buket of whatevers.

50 fresh spaces await my
brain storms reigning
the pigments of my imagination
over this dull yellow backdrop
of pulp and dreams.

I would call you a "Word painter"! Cleverly written, a great read!

Clever was the word that came to my mind as well but so much more than that! I love the way you play with words like tinker toys building images I can both see and feel. Bravo again!
