Faithful In Joy (poem)
My darling don’t cry as I slip away
It doesn’t become our time so well spent
A part of our lives no sadness was meant
For we were the sun the Joy of the day
-
Flowers that followed our wondrous display
Echo the beauty of our grand accent
We left no moments or means to repent
And though I must leave my memories stay
-
So she stayed faithful to his dying prayer
His memories were the smiles which she bore
-
Kissed by the sunshine meant he was still there
Eyes toward forever where dreams which she wore
-
Yet just how much Joy could one person bear
And so they became together once more
