Floating On Air
Riding The Wind
Both are wonderful
Exciting and thrilling at the same time
Enjoying what other people don't see
Even though they feel it constantly
If we change our perspective
Our reality changes too
Loving life comes automatic
As easy as acorns falling to the ground
When the time is right
You can hear them drop
One by one
Other times you may see their presence
As they have fallen quietly unnoticed
Maybe secretly during the night
We are all born with a pair of eyes to see
A pair of ears to hear
A pair of lungs to breathe
A pair of hands to feel
A pair of feet to stand
How we use these God given gifts is up to us
We can be wise and do so much
We can be foolish and take everything for granted
One day we may not be as fortunate
The beauty of life may of lost it's shine
Before it's too late
Enjoy all the things life has to offer
The years pass by quickly
I myself have seen 51 years drift away
Just beginning my 52nd year
I stop to ponder
What things habe I missed
I return my focus on what I have enjoyed and loved
This is where I feel my greatest strengths
As I open my eyes to see
Like so many times before
What incredible views light up my world
Listening to sounds as if they are new
What I do from here on out is my choice
As it has always been
Is it possible to double the years I have had ?
Some people think unlikely
Already I have friends and family pass away before me
What I plan to do
Is appreciate every breath
Experience every touch
In this way
Live my life in wonder
What comes next compared to what has come before
Reliving all the good
Letting the bad be my best teacher
Always leading me back in the right direction
Till my final breath
Where I can say
My body and mind have taken me so many places
What a fantastic life it has been
How many people if they had the chance ?
Would lwant to do their life different
It took me all of three seconds to decide
Can I please have a ticket
I want to take this ride
I would love to do it all over again
