Poem: Give God a try?

You know yourself

and who you are

real well

So when I am

looking at God's

creation mankind

Even in his latest

disguise

I can easily tell.

So why don't you

tell me why

I would say to you

Give God a try?

He is not a car

He is not a ride

He is not that

something of love

which you have

exercised

A great degree

of pride you show

now it's so long

after I have watched

you in the Garden

still you tried to hide

I saw you the

moment you were

finished eating

that fruit

it was said to you

If you were to eat

surely you will die

God still is not

one of your all time

favorite sports neither

you favorite team.

Neither is he one

of those new flavors

of your favorite

ice cream

He is not even

one of those

that comes up in

your many

Reoccurring dreams.

Things like a football

scholarship

or that dream

relationship.

I won’t ask that

of you to

Give God a try.

knowing you will

soon turn around,

ask me why?

An accident can

happen to you

at any time.

As you are leaving

going to your car.

With the Most High

God

he is tthe only one

that gives full coverage

to those that are

both near and far.

God is not your game

Where you keep going

back then forth again

and even again

asking for forgiveness

but always when you

are buried in the rain

he is mankind's

only hope

present and future

everlasting joy

If you are wise

it won’t take you

long, and it sure

won’t be a surprise.

As you wake each

day then go to bed

each night

you should know

the one who is

laying by your side...

and who’s is sitting

there ready to fight

ready to launch

an attack.

You had better

know how long

it is before it's

your time to rise.

If your ship capsize

in the middle of

the vast ocean,

after going on

your secret cruise.

Where you showed

no respect

not even for your

only Mother

said nothing before

you left

not a word you ever

mention.

What if that tornado

hits while no one

was paying attention,

what if you lost

both your legs,

how could you ever

refuse attention

what would you then

be saying ?

You should hink

better than just some

ignorant person,

who sees no reason

just living because

they are here

this which is not

the beginning of

your life .

Your mama told

you the truth

your father showed

the Fruit

God left you the

plan

yet you sill don’t

think

there must be a

price

You don't understand

that you will have to

pay someday.

Give God a try!
