Haiku to the Bee (Haiku Inspired)
Honey Bee's Lament
I have written a Haiku-like poem, with a question and its answer. This is dedicated to the honey bee and its danger of becoming extinct.
The Honey Bee Asks:
Why am I dying? Butterfly answers.
Reasons are many, my friend.
Is it pesticides? Just part of the cause.
There are others more to blame.
Is it changing winds? Weather is a part.
You are used to calm climates.
Is it the wild bees? African bees harm.
More reasons than just a few.
Is it pollution? The wastes are many!
Man needs to clean up his act.
Is it the virus? The bees deadly strain.
You will need new medicines.
Is it tall towers? The antennae harms.
Your health is harmed much.by this.
Why must I now die? Your help saves the world.
Without you all will then die!
PLEASE HELP ME SURVIVE! I WILL SING OF YOU.
The butterfly bowed his head.
