How To Make Friends With Everyone

Updated on April 27, 2011

You Have To Be Yourself

Many years later and many friends scattered like snow flakes on the tree tops of every tree I can see

A friend is someone who sees something in you they like and wouldn't mind getting to know you better

So they stick around for awhile maybe for life or until they see another friend who they also like

You can never tell someone to be your friend

If they don't want to be one your better off playing basketball by yourself and finding a real friend who will come to play with you

Friendships can be made in some of the oddest places

Even enemies at first can later turn into friends

Who could have ever imagined that

There are times that friendships are also broken even after years of fun and the greatest memories

Somewhere along the line the trust of one friend is forgotten or maybe the loyalty has been lost

There are unwritten rules for friends and when one of them is crossed it is very hard to go back to the way it was

Friendships can grow rather quickly

You have a friend and he has a friend and soon she is your new friend

Other times the feelings don't seem quite right

There is something missing

You can know someone and still not be their friend

I like to think that we can see ourselves in our friends and they all have some great qualities that we have or that we do admire

There are so many friends to be made we are never finished making friends

I have never heard anyone in my life say ...

I have enough friends you have to find someone else to be your friend

Then there are people you want to be friends with and for some reason it just doesn't happen

Maybe in time they will feel you out and be comfortable with who you are and another friend is born

I love the idea that friends can come from anywhere

In school some of our earliest friendships develop

Even next door neighbors can be friends and if for some reason they move away they can become long distance friends

They can be friends of your relatives or people that live around the block

The possibilities are endless

You might meet them in church and share the same faith

There are so many friends that you will meet in work

You may work for years together and never even realize how close you have become

Then there are times that something out of the ordinary happens and two people are instant friends

Someone did something for someone else that the other will never forget and that person will always be thankful for years to come

Later in college there are so many opportunities to meet new friends that one friend might turn into your husband or wife

So I leave you with this wonderful thought

A friend is different than anyone you and I have ever met

They are kind and grow on you like moss on trees

One minute you have none then years later you are covered from head to toe

If a friend could have only one thing that should be, a friend that wants only the best from us from the beginning and we would return the favor without a thought

Making us happier and help them when they are sad or in need of a helping hand

Let friends stay friends through all of lifes struggles and sacrifices

So that we can show others

Friends are really special like polka dotted polar bears in Alaska
