How to Write for Bukisa

Updated on March 13, 2011

What is Bukisa?

Bukisa is a new content site that works much like Associated Content. If you have never written for Associated Content, please see my hub about that site. If you have, you know how rewarding it can be to write short pieces for the site and to get paid to write about anything you choose.

There are a couple of differences between the two sites, however. Associated Content has been around for a number of years and has an active community of readers. Bukisa is far newer and is not yet getting their traffic numbers.

And, with Bukisa, there is no upfront payment when you write for them. That means that you will not be offered a flat dollar amount in exchange for the article or other piece of content that you publish there. Instead, you are paid purely based on a share of how much ad money your articles make. You are paid directly by Google as a part of the Google AdSense program. The minimum payment for a payout from them is $100.

What to Write for Bukisa

Bukisa can be used for any number of purposes. Personally, I use it like an article directory to promote other items. I have written a few articles for the site and use links in those articles to my websites or to other articles that I have online that need to be promoted. Some people use it as a way to have a little fun, writing imaginative content as a hobby.

For those who are serious about earning through the site, Bukisa wants articles about how to do things, and it promotes its how-to articles. Anything that is useful and likely to be looked up online is a good potential how-to article topic.

If you don't really like writing or don't feel that you're any good, there are other ways to earn money on Bukisa. You can also create short videos for the site. These videos earn money at the same rate as the text content on the site. You can even submit video how to items.

Getting Paid

As mentioned, the minimum payment through Google is $100. You must have an AdSense account in order to get paid a share of your articles' revenue. For people that only submit a few articles or other items, payout may take a long time. However, there are other ways to make that payout faster. Bukisa accepts reprints if you still have the rights to the articles.

So, if you write for eHow, Associated Content or any other content website that allows you to keep the rights to your works, you can reprint them on Bukisa for even more money on content that you have already written. You can also get AdSense shares from a number of other sites, such as InfoBarrel and HubPages, and make the payouts faster.
