Howl With The Wind

Updated on March 26, 2012

Slow And Sluggish

Having trouble getting started

Like a car that won't start

Don't worry it can be easily fixed

Before long your engine will be roaring and the power you will feel

When your whole body is wiped out from exhaustion

Do to the day before and all the work that you did

You were busy

We all suffer from a little body lag from time to time

When all our limbs drag

First thing to do is change into new clothes

Go in your closet and pull out something you haven't worn in awhile

Maybe something you haven't worn in years

You never got rid of it because it would cause your eyes to tear

Take those comfortable pajamas off

Slip into something you always loved

You never found the time to wear

Because....

Like me it was never was the right time

The time is now

Put it on and see how it feels against your skin

Is it what you remembered or is it a different feeling all together

Wow I don't remember this being this tight

Off it goes in a pile to be given away

But first I have to struggle and wear it for awhile

My body knows it doesn't fit but my mind has to figure it out

I have the memories of this shirt or pair pants

Take the camera out and take one last picture and then let it go

Let a loud howl out and now it is time to put something else on

Isn't it funny how we get attached to clothing we don't even wear

Give it away

Three cheers hip hip horay another outfit given away

More room for my other clothes to move

They were crowded in like a subway during rush hour

Not one more shirt could fit

Unless you count the ones on the floor and on the top shelf tucked in neatly

Now you are dressed differently how does it feel

A change from your normal work clothes or lounging around wear

Put a smile on that face and see your emotions change

Feel that lucky sweatshirt or those shoes you needed so bad

Feel the thougths that come in constant like a the wind blowing the curtain in the window

In and out

Open the window wider and get the full effect

Watch how the wind blows the whole room around

Things fall paper fly off the desk

The chill of excitement

The thrill of what is going to happen next

Now that you look good you have to capture that same mood

Feel invincible and in control

You can go out into the crazy world that we all live

Tackle another day or just enjoy every thought that makes you feel fine

Don't suppress those thoughts that come quick as a bug that jumps on your arm

Fly with it and build up some steam

Show others how life is lived each day

Maybe our day is nothing exceptional or exciting and it can be quite boring or dull

We take the normal and make it more fun

We are who we are with or without clothes

It is funny how we can change are attitude and our disposition

Change a thought or two and do what we want to

My day is some how different

Because today I howl with the wind
