I Knew You Were the One
This is my first hub and indeed my very first poem, that is since I was at school! I have always loved poetry and adore receiving poems written especially for me. I have never considered writing a poem myself, let alone publishing it for people to read! I have however been persuaded to write one by one of the hubbers on here! So thank you Amorea13 for giving me a gentle nudge!
I Knew You Were the One
The first time I saw you
I knew you were the one
Your voice, your words
A dream come true
My heart began to melt
As you looked deep into my eyes,
Your gentle touch
And soft persuasion
Our first lingering kiss
Always I will remember,
Our nights of passion
Sensual moments
Feeling you close to me
Till the break of day,
Magical moments
Privately shared
Our hearts entwined
Always together,
A love like ours
Will last forever
Through life’s
Smooth or rocky path,
Memories played back
A video in my mind
How I long to touch you
Caress you once again,
True love never dies
Its richness seeps
Through every cell
A feeling of emotion,
The first time I saw you
I knew you were the one!
