~I Need A Man~
~Prologue~
This poem is about taking a broader view when it comes to casual sex...
~Mencapades~
Hanging out with my girls just having a little fun, not trying to meet anyone,
but along came this fella with an interest in me, so I was obliging as much as I could be.
We shared one glass of chardonnay, and he must have assumed he was having his way,
he escorted me home like a gentleman should and walk me to the door,
ask if he could use my restroom, now girls you know he wanted more,
as he dived in for the kill, that old pass almost made me laugh,
I exclaim, I read love poetry all the time, so miss me with that ragedy line.
If you want to get next to this, its going to take more then one glass of chardonnay and a sloppy kiss.
You reaching for gift boxes out of the sky, when I say no you wonder why, you're on a quest and so am I.
But or course like a man he rolled right back, and I had to reinterate, you already know the answer to that, its not a riddle its a known fact,
at that point I was considered black hearted, who me? because I wont sleep with any man I meet?
Let me break it down and get straight to the point, I don't play silly games or hang out in joints,
I don't have casual sex under any circumstance, you better get what you need from a peek or a glance.
I don't do one night stands, hit it or quit it, part friends or shake hands.
I donot cut corners because a man is fine, I have better things to do with my time.
I don't want a slice of life I want the whole shabang, porter house steak and the chicken wings,
I want the house on top of the hill with a backyard like a football field,
my own mote and my own lake, the ring and the wedding is just icing on the cake.
But most of all I want true love, the kind you can't find in a night club, with that being said its getting late, and I have a lot of things on my plate,
but It was nice meeting you and I hope you understand, I don't do boys, I need a man.
