I Rub My Eyes And All I Can See Is Spots

Updated on February 13, 2012

Look Again

My nose is running and my body aches

I sneeze here and then there

Those baggy eyes barely open

My body still in the sleep mode

Spirits low and energy lower

My powerful mind has gone out for lunch and isn't back yet

Well no time to waste

I will start without it and it can join in when it returns

The spots that I see is the future slowly materializing

All I have to do is think and dream

What an easy thing to do

I have to remember to do it more often

Be patient don't force those thoughts

Just relax

Even if time is limited just learn to relax

The first thought that comes to mind is happiness

The second thought in my head is flow

Put them both together what do you get ?

A wonder flow of happiness

With my mind quiet again

I feel relaxed once more

I hear my breathing soft and slow

It reminds me of a little baby that gets up from a good nights sleep

Rubbing their eyes not quiet awake yet

Soon the whole world will be rocked by a baby who will not stop

Playing with a stuffed animal and later another toy

Soon experiencing the wonderful things all around them

Smiling new smiles at the same old toys and surroundings

Bringing a happiness that is sincere and gentle

Relaxing again I let my mind go quiet

I am still and with my eyes closed I see the peace in darkness so soothing and reassuring

A place where I go every night

A separate world all together

Neither rushed or brilliant

Now I listen to other sounds that I did not hear before

Sounds of my home the wind chimes blowing

The loud sound of a plane flying over head

The roar could still be heard no matter how distant

My eyes open to the blue sky that is the back drop of a tree that stands alone

The sound of my wives slippers sliding across the floor

My wives familiar voice talking to my cat

My cat racing from room to room

My mind blank again

An itch that tickled my arm just enough to persuade me to instantly scratch

I take another deep breath

The sound of laundry starting the spin cycle

Echoing through the floor rattling and shaking

My stomach growling looking for food

My shoulders now less sore than before

Honey can you come here my wife calls me

What could she want ?

I will be right there

Clearing my mind as if my previous thoughts have vanished

I embrace my wonderful love so special and many feelings rise

We drift off to a world we only know

Where two people share such passion and strengths

Giving to each other a love that is different yet the same

Comforting thoughts that make each of our bodies rock

A tenderness that is quiet but close

Then when words are spoken they are cherished like their thoughts

A closeness that heals

The fountain of youth revealed

Where two lovers join in a partnership for life

Experiencing emotions that constantly change

From forgiveness to a shared overall peace

To a combined comfort and emotional support

Could this day turn out any other way

Ofcourse

Am I glad it ended the way it did ?

You can bet your my last dollar

I will always respect and enjoy the love that I experienced here today

My day did not start out on the good side

I was experiencing an emotional roller coaster

With the lows and then finding the highs somewhere inside

A kind of present within a present

The first one you open you find what you think is an empty box

Then you notice the box isn't as big as the one you opened and the bottom is actually another box that devides the first box in two

So you reach to the empty bottom and find a way to open that little box on the bottom

You reveal the most wonderful gift of all

Where seconds ago you were depressed

Thinking you have been giving a box with nothing

You have quickly found a way to eliminate the blues

Feeling powerful and happy you rejoice

All life may not be sweet

If we look close enough maybe their is more love underneath

That can inspire us to greatness or at least to all the wonderful pleasures that we seek

Come closer take a peek
