I am - about few things

 

Written in a pensive mood, a few things that perhaps describe the person that is sometimes me and a tribute to some strong influences. My salutations!

 

I am like the dust

Carried everywhere by a gust

Covering all that I see

In the quest of being me

I am a drop of morning dew

On a leaf of life I am one of few

Before I roll off and make a splash

And catch myself as my life rewinds in a flash

I am a flake of falling snow

I melt to your greatness taking a bow

I am a ripple in the placid lake

Spreading whatever joy with me I can take

I am a shadow in the dark

Like the sound of silence when sings the lark

Watching and waiting for the tulips to bloom

Parting from pain of fire like the rising smoky plume

I am the powerful wrath, hard I fall

When the obvious is ignored and it’s not my call

Lies and deceit are not the cards of my game

I am that story which ends the same

Integrity winning and doing what is right

I am a warrior - I pick well the battles to fight

I am a soul that wants to be free

I am yet like a banyan tree

Come rain or shine I am here to stay

I am and I will be forever this way
