If I Could Give You the World The Gift of Wealth

Wealth can mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. From money, to family, love, spirituality, but for some it is the gift of giving.

This is my 100th hub and I would like to thank the Hubpages staff, my followers, and especially the community of writers who have been so supportive, inspiring, and given me strength when I needed it.

Your understanding and kind words left in comments, forums, and answers to questions have definitely been a gift and again I thank you all.

If I could give you the world

There would be no strings

Because giving with stipulations

Doesn’t mean a thing

If it was the stars you wanted

I would pull them from the sky

Never thinking for a minute

To ask your reasons why

If it was everlasting life

Without any twists

I’d be waiting before I passed

For that one last little kiss

You’d have all of the world

At your beckon call

But you’d never take advantage

Your not one to want it all

Saving the needy even if

It was only one case at a time

Never caring if they were millionaires

Or didn’t have a dime

How can you be so humble

And not boast for the world to see

You’re the greatest in the world

Even if that’s only just for me

When you wanted us to live

In peace, harmony and as one

Some things never change like the tasks

You do that could never be done

You’d have the birds sing

So we could all understand

What it felt like to fly for once

No matter if you were bird or man

How is it you can be so selfless

And not want the world for yourself

That’s right you’re the one who taught me

Giving is the gift that gives us such wealth
