How to Get Your Imagination Moving

  • Read, read, and read some more. You can't read too much. To help you get your imagination going read any type of book you can get your hands on.
  • Try to be unique. Try to be a good person, doing good things. Think of how you can help someone, find a new way to work, a new way to compliment someone, or even a new way to let someone know you care.
  • Take lots and lots of pictures. They don't have to be of anything in particular. They can be of anything that comes into your line of sight. Then, let your mind wander as you look at these pictures.
  • Keep a small notebook or notepad with you at all times. Any time something starts you thinking write what it was. Any off the wall impression or description. Write it down.
  • Allow yourself to dream. As Walt Disney said. "If you can dream it, you can achieve it."
  • Invite your inner child to come out and play with your creativity. As children we have tremendous imagination. Bring it out of hiding and allow it to help you add life to your creativity. You won't be sorry.

“Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will”

— George Bernard Shaw
