Patience
Patience
The dawn waited patiently for the sun to start the day
For the night’s surrender and the light to have its way
As the clouds waited to release their bounty on the land
To replenish the earth’s moisture and give hope to fertile sand
Seeds resting in earths’ bosom to spring forth with life anew
Waiting to burst open and give beauty through and through
Waves waiting in the ocean to crash in turn upon the sand
Reaching out to touch and make their mark upon the land
The foul sits on their nest and warm their eggs patiently
Waiting for them to open so their hatchlings they may see
Some animals wait all winter while the snow turns into spring
And wake to find what offspring mother nature to them brings
Patience and Mother Nature walk together hand in hand
It’s the lesson taught to all but few will try to understand
The lesson our creator offers as he did the Son of man
