Do you still remember
When we were young
That face which always smile at us
It is the face of mom
The other face that smile at us
And wink at us at times
And gives a thumbs up
That’s the face of dad
She holds your arms when you walk
She guides you where to go
She gives you food
When you are hungry
She never gets tired
And always applaud you
And look at the tears in her eyes
The times you get sick
He sometimes play with you
Tickle you and raise you up
You see him sometimes only
But he is always there for you
He throws ball at you
Carried you in his arms
Even though you know he is tired
He always kiss you in the forehead
She is there waiting for you after school
And teach you how to read
Spend time coloring with you
And give you lessons in life
He works hard for you
But he never gets tired
He is happy when he sees you
And always proud of you
But now, time passed by
And they are old
Now its time
To take care of them too
You look in their eyes
And they both smile at you
It seems they don’t have energy
To play with you anymore
But still they are there
Watching and guiding you
Asking how are you
And help you in any way
The only thing you can do
Is to repay what they did to you
They need loving and a caring
And a lot more understanding
Because sometimes they are slow already
And they cant understand when you talk
Dont make fun of them
Just listen to them
A simple way of showing
How you love them
Is talking to them
And ask them how they are
Can love be repaid?
I guess it can never be
The least we can do
Is to love them the best you could
It may never be the same
How they have loved you
But at least love them
As best as you can do!
