Love’s Echo (poem)
An echo on a lonely winter’s night
A scent that’s carried on forgotten breeze
A breath that’s held in timeless memories
It calls to me again to hold it tight
-
I feel the world once real begin to ease
As all I want is somewhere there in sight
As all I am is drawn by distant light
An echo does a lonely soul now please
-
Between those sheets what’s was returns to air
As dreams held in our hearts we freely shed
-
And with each kiss our passions start to flare
Till all her wished for whispers have been fed
-
I promised always that I will be there
And dawn will find me crying on her bed
