My Lucky Number Two

I Never Knew It To Mean So Much

Growing up my favorite number was two and yours was three

We use to joke often and we both thought they would always treat us right

Now my night is quiet and my number two stands alone

Reminding me of just two months ago when life was so different

Each one of your laughs had a rich and sweet joy

That I heard proudly and could always cherish

The sound of you talking and sharing lifes wonders

I would listen and then try to understand your never ending love

When life got you down you beat it with a stick

Then rose to your feet and gave it one swift kick

You always found time to help others in simple ways

Always there ready to give

In a world so cold even the good are forgotten

Now I sit with glassy eyes of dried tears from the day before

You are on your own journey free to travel the world you always wanted

With dad so you can be together forever

Like you planned so long ago

Things have a way of working out

Just not when or the way we thought

Good night mom like I have said many times before

Letting you know I love you more and more

Dream On - I can feel your deep despair at the about-face of situations and people you hold so dear to your heart. I also watched as others changed tactics and decided to carry a big stick rather than a big brain.

shiningirisheyes These times are tough but there are lessons to be learned and so much understanding that eliminates all my pain.In time I will be my good old self but for now time to time I find my spirits are low and it is not anything to do what I have done.It is beyond my control and life is silly as a spiders web that it has spun.It looks magnificient and beautiful. Then it blows in the wind. The next time you see it it is torn and ruined. Why it is the way it is was beyond the spiders control.Soon a new web will be spun and we start all over again.Thanx so much for your comment.
