Never To Drop Our Guard

In these times of such an intensity, there now can be no lapses of our attention,

Each and every comment to be made, of foreign sources, those a pretension.

All of our preparedness, to change the guard, when situations then so warrant,

Being astute with every salute, planning ahead for acts done, those abhorrent.

The snarling bear, the hissing adder, those, our enemies all of such renown,

Give a reason, to stay on guard, our watchfulness, of each move and sound.

So well remembered for their motives and times, attacking a weakened foe,

This world of apprehension to suggest, our being aware, key things to know.

Remaining on duty, while we're walking the line, observing all main events,

Right on task, removing every mask, to build our reserves, making sense.

As strongest national defense is right, so makes a difference in every fight,

Digging in, our stance to contend, beefing up our power, shows our might.

This country was formed from every race, our basic freedoms to all embrace,

We shall never succumb to any tyranny, never back down from any adversity.

Every American is a true patriot, defender, meeting each challenge we do face,

We will guard our nation, friends about the world, defend this, our human race.

Thank you, Thelma, and yes it is a time of trial in our country once, more. We must each prepare ourselves for a demanding period in our country. We are strong and can all handle it and then some. Blessings. whonu
