Night Becomes Her (poem)
I could be happy with you all my days
But night’s delights and mingling midst the stars
The mystery of evening has its ways
To license longings banned by day’s bazaars
-
Intoxicating strolls by moon laced lake
Attracting kisses to adventurous thought
These whispers from an ocean we will take
In loft to lay before by daylight caught
-
Yet I will not be robbed a single kiss
The day displays a beauty of its own
A fool alone would miss the morning’s bliss
The sun shows hidden spots to make you moan
-
To end each day soft kiss of night returns
To quench my waiting passion that now burns
