Poem - The Sky Is Jealous Of You

The sky is beautiful tonight
But not as beautiful as you
The moon has vanquished the stars
But you brought them back to life
They have gathered together
Moving closer to be by your side
But they will slowly fade away
Like love washed away by the tide
Yes the sky looks beautiful tonight
But it remains jealous of you
Because nature is not as wonderful
As a smile that lights the coming dawn

Thank you all... I don't know where these things come from but it hits me and then I write... I'm sure we all have seen that person who can make nature bow down to their beauty...

Wonderful message and beautifully written. A smile is indeed a very simple but yet beautiful thing to behold. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you richtwf,

A picture is worth a thousand words right? So is a smile... Maybe the word smile should be the entire poem... sparse but complete....

Thank you shygirl...

That would be the challenge; the worlds greatest poem written with the least amount of words.... some things speak for themselves....
