Prose - Older Man Younger Woman
Are you a genius?
Are you a beautiful woman?
As she blushed
She showed me she was human
I already love you
But we barely speak
You walk into my life
With answers that you seek
You tell me I’m always right
And it humbles me so
But then you take my words
And back to your life you go
I wonder about us
And what you think of me
You always seem so pleased
Because I make you see
I gain a young woman’s respect
But does she know?
I think about her at night
But I can never let it show
She asked if I could ever love her
I smiled as my dream became real
If you love me like your beauty
You will know how I feel
She said we can never be together
This I already knew
In another life I said
Sadly she said me too
As the eyes lingered
On a longing flower
We wondered if there was such a thing
As one soul for another
And yet for one who will give
And one who will take
Can they be equal
For their own sake?
Can my lust
And her thirst for knowledge
Sustain the intrigue
That we both acknowledge?
For one night
Into our hearts we will peer
Then removed from our worlds
The years between us disappear
As beauty makes a man young again
And she is ravished as never before
They will know
As their souls cry out for more
