Return (poem)
Return my lover to once was a dream
When passing heartbeats reminders of you
And every breath taken had you in view
And if there were love songs you were the theme
-
Return my lover to what was once true
When hopeful wishes there we would redeem
And rivers of kisses were our chosen stream
And if there were shadows we saw them through
-
Oh where did they go that soft memory
Who weathered a storm that passed through the night
-
So tattered and torn to face destiny
Those eyes who were blind to all of their sight
-
Return my lover to this once was me
And all that remains we’ll hold it all tight
