SEA GLASS IN A JAR
I placed you each so carefully~
In my sea glass jar~
Vibrant gems you make~
Just the way you are.
Sea glass in a jar~
How pretty you can be~
Kelly greens, browns, ~
And iridescent clears~
You are my nuzzled, attractive ~
Collective dears for me.
Colt bolt blue, Jade, amber and amberina~
Your colors do elude~
The mundane once things you made~
Now a treasure you are renewed!
As a beachcomber I searched you out~
With short hunting steps~
My hands grasping at~
Your sand soaked nestled nest.
The pursuit of you was~
A thrilling exploration~
As to the shore I was blessed. ~
You found your destination~
On this beach as best!
Upon my quest~
I found you dry~
Amongst the seaweed. ~
I found you wet~
With sea salt water~
Foamy lathering free!
I sought you out for miles on the beach~
I bent where you were spied~
Your brilliance snuggled~
Shining to my naked squinting eye.
I placed you with others in my plastic bag. ~
Your colors mingled in concert. ~
While dropping you from my cold damp hand~
You blended combining ~
Far from anything dingy,or bland.
Home I took you all~
To wash you and dry you~
With a towel. ~
Oh how rich you look laying there~
Right now!
I placed you each so carefully~
In my sea glass jar~
Vibrant gems you make~
Just the way you are.
