SHIPS THAT SAIL
Giant and small~
Ships of sail~
Billow to take the gale with ease~
As the bow creaks stress is easily released.
Many a ship sail~
Some gust in a storm~
And watch the stern~
While anxiety is felt~
Only a light breeze a-smelt.
Nervous ships sail un-at-ease~
One ship quite~
As it takes its hits~
The other aims its might at another’s rig~
Taking the wind out of the~
Others sail’s with a nasty gritting grip.
Ships sail with colorful plumes~
Others material is torn~
Neither could be gaily a-float~
Unless the right cargo they do tote.
Rare ships~
Of class and regal worth~
Whom escape the ugly others girth~
They are the lucky ones~
Rich enough holding still~
The manners behaved~
Keeping fast with good will.
Ships sail so different~
As the LORD did cast~
Their routed voyage tested in~
The future and in the past.
Ships sail first~
As other ships sail pitifully last~
While home again they switch~
Many do fray~
As they were crass~
As hope becomes a main stay~
That last.
Glorious ships sail~
Into the dock~
A safe harbor~
Wearing magnificent frock~
And splendid adornment~
Crowns the best~
The ones that passed the voyages routes test.
