First a little personal philosophy, & then, the good & the bad between authoring, creating & self publishing either a novel, or a how too step by step guide, please enjoy & leave your comments in the box below this article!

The way I see it is there are two kinds of people in this world:

1: Folk who like to be entertained?

2: Folk who like to entertain!

Now both these kinds of folk has their own place in this world, but I think one fairs much better than the other.

So, what’s the difference?

Everyone NEEDS to take time out to be entertained; we all love to be entertained, in fact, if there were no folk whom would like to be entertained, then the folk who entertain would be wasting their time creating entertainment for them!

Myself, I used to come ‘solely’ under number one category: ‘Folk who like to be entertained,’ in as much as, I used to go out to work, then come home, sort out whatever I had to sort out, do my pushups, couple of sit-ups, then I would switch on the TV box, settle down for the whole night & absorb into my entertainment.

Bliss! I certainly was entertained!

Now, things are slightly better (in my opinion anyway) whereas I am now a creator of entertainment a couple of evenings a week, or on some days, in as much as to say, I switch off my TV box, instead, I turn on my computer & write novels, articles, create DVD’s & author how too guides & downloads, before I go to bed, I do my pushups, & a couple of sit-ups. But, why I say being an entertainer is better than being just ‘entertained’ is, I now have the best of both worlds.

How?

1: When I am in a writing mood I love creating, I create on a reasonably regular basis because of my lifestyle, in fact, you may not know this, there are such a vast ton more folk in this world who like to be entertained than there are entertainers out there, but, we are all here to create if you want to because of what we have inside of us to actually entertain (create) but sometimes, entertainers need to entertain themselves too, such as, going to the pictures with a loved one or pickup a good book now & then, get a DVD, watch a blockbuster film or two.

For research purposes!

2: The best part is everything I author, or create, & publish, will, & does, makes money, sometimes small amounts, may be little trickles now & then, but, everything I do, everything I publish, all adds up, & will continue to make money from many directions on the internet for a whole lifetime & beyond.

3: Because of my creating ability, & my motivation to create, I am truly happy when I do create, which stays with me in everything I do everyday!

Now, you may already be an entertainer/creator, or you may be thinking of starting up this venture, & your thinking “should I write a novel & self publish it, or, should I self publish a step by step how too guide or book showing others what I know?” either way, how should I entertain, & this is a big question you need to look into & answer before you begin your ‘self publishing’ aspects on the internet.

Here's my experiences & my point of view!

I have created & authored & sold all of the above, a novel, 'SARAH' expect the unexpected, I published the beginning of 2012, before earlier, around four years ago, I began creating DVD’s, how too guides, & articles, so herein I provide you my personal opinions, hope you find them useful.

Should I write a novel, my first novel is my latest venture, I chose the genre of ‘horror’ only because of real occurrences happening to me, because of the stories & experiences of haunted locations around my area & my interest in the paranormal as I used to read many horror ghost novels as a youth.

I knew I could create my own story so I wrote it!

Writing this book into a story took many months of part time writing, (mostly, people can write faster than me, I could probably boil an egg quicker than I'm writing this paragraph) structuring the storyline, editing, then re-editing, until, finally, re-editing again, I now have my book published on Amazon Kindle as a download for the whole wide world to see, & a physical copy too plus, I'm excited to say, I have sold some copies let me tell you, (remember if your going into novels competition is always fierce-there are millions of horror novels available for download, maybe you could write in another genre)

Once self published I kicked off marketing by targeting the story locally, because the theme of the book was written about the locality, in Ely, a Roman settlement of eras past, stories of eerie occurrences, a village surrounded by hills & woodlands where I live, a story other like minded folk who live in this area would probably take interest in, download the book, for curiosity & inquisitively purposes whilst being entertained then, after a few feedback & ratings on Amazon, hopefully positive words, more readers would take an interest in the novel as a story & purchase the book too! You may want to use facebook & twitter to advertise your novel, in front of all your facebook & twitter friends to start with.

Verdict on writing a novel, highly addictive, can't wait to author my next horror novel because readers are entertained & I love entertaining for who ever's interested in my creations, folk forgetting life's turmoil's & ups & downs for the period they absorb themselves into something I have created makes me happy!

Should I create a step by step how too guide, personally, I find these e-books, DVD’s & downloads the easiest to create, set out & to author, plus there are many genres of information showing others how to do things, for me, things I personally have experienced THINGS I COMFORTABLY KNOW ABOUT & figured out my own conclusion of the subject by researching more & testing out, finally, after testing results on others, you can go about setting out & creating your step by step how too guide showing, or helping interested folk do the same as you have done or do, personally, I have a few niches that do OK from time to time.

Verdict On Writing Step by Step How Too's, highly addictive, can't wait to create more articles, how too's e-books downloads & DVD's realising the information & material has entertained folk who follow my methods, so they can practise what I show them from something I have created by myself!

The ability to create & self publish releases many emotions, surrounds a practitioner with true bliss, one becomes absorbed into one's work, could help make you happy like it does me, think about it, by being a part time entertainer, you could find your hidden passion.
