Song Lyrics - Hurry Up And Kiss Me

Maybe we need some 5-string open G tuning on this one (aka known as Mick and Keith if you don't follow...)

Looks like she's comin' around here again
It's been so long I can't remember when
I wonder if she just wants to be my friend
Or is she gonna' take my heart out for a spin?

You know, it really don't matter to me
It's not like there's another girl I want to see
But I hope she doesn't bring up that memory
Just come on in and what will be will be

Hurry up and kiss me
Before I change my mind
Make me close my eyes
It's better if love is blind
Hurry baby hurry
Kiss me right away
Hurry up and kiss me
Before I change my mind

Are you gonna' run my life again?
Love me hard like it's never gonna end
Then pick that scar that won't ever mend
I wonder what kind of message she's gonna send

Hurry up and kiss me
Before I change my mind
Make me close my eyes
It's better if love is blind
Hurry baby hurry
Kiss me right away
Hurry up and kiss me
Before I change my mind

The drinks are going down like I knew they would
I'm ready to love you like I never could
But that memory makes me wonder if I'm thinkin' straight
I wonder if maybe I ought to wait

C'mon baby kiss me
I'm TIRED of all this thinking
C'mon baby kiss me
Kiss me and keep drinking
Kiss me baby kiss me
You won't want to leave
C'mon baby kiss me
Hurry up and make me believe

Hurry up and kiss me
Before I change my mind
Make me close my eyes
It's better if love is blind
Hurry baby hurry
Kiss me right away
Hurry up and kiss me
Before I change my mind

Yes!! I can definitely hear this playing in my mind! Wonderful words, excellent beat!

Excellent sexual spoem, it should be set to music, and you need to solicit someone to sing and put your poem on an album. People are too busy to think about love anymore, the stress is wearing the out.

@Sameerk - thank you for the quick response... you commented almost as soon as I posted it!

@Azure - thank you! Keep on rockin'!

@Nan - thank you.. that would be the dream... I don't know how that works but I keep hoping a musician will read my lyrics and want to work with me... there's still time... if not then I enjoy it anyway...

VERY sensual, and nicely done! BTW, I do know a musician that is always interested in new music and lyrics. He is a country singer, Ryan Griffin. If you would like I can forward. But, you may want to copyright, first!!

That was fun. These lines are my favorites:

"Love me hard like it's never gonna end

Then pick that scar that won't ever mend"

simply beautiful, magical and warm. Has incredible anticipation and I think I even tasted a bit of whiskey on 'the drinks are going down like I knew they would'

Always a fan of your work - love it!

Thank you for picking this hub for the hub of the day Miss Olive! I really appreciate it. You guys are doing a very nice thing with all your support.

As for this song I kind had it in mind for a garage band with the drunk singer trying to resist his still hot ex. He knows where it's going but can't say no because no matter how she acts he remembers how good she was in bed.... so of course he doesn't want to think anymore... it's just "let's get it on." There is love and fear in there but she is in control at this point. But she also remembers him and how he caters to her.... she likes that about him....
