So Nice To See A Friendly Face

My Past Comes Alive

Two centuries later

A lifetime for some people

An old boss notices me

My memories come flooding back

Catching up was easy

Trading stories and talking about her children

Who were babies then

Now in college and out of state

Glad to hear both doing well

It's a small world

They knew members of my family and my friends

The greatest moments in life

Are when people remember the good times

When a part of your life long and forgotten

Becomes a sweet thought

Relived and refurnished

Just like an old rocking chair

Looking dusty and dull

Cleans up well

Put to good use

Just for a spell

Then back to it's corner

Until another time

Where it may be used or talked about

To make people very happy

It is good to revisit the past once in a while. Most times it's best left alone, I find! I went to a school reunion once; like being in a time warp! Some looked really old, others far too young; I guess I was somewhere in the middle. A couple had died; one had been murdered! Interesting, but I won't be repeating the experience.

It's good to go over the memories with those who know and understand though.

Memories are what most often put smiles on our faces.

You've scored a homerun.

Often they manifest as a movie reviving the past: memories.

We see them the friends of childhood,

missing them - they left our neighborhood.

Cherishing what never can be lost an everlasting bliss.

Gypsy Rose Lee If we pull the happiest moments from our life we can enjoy all the love their was at that moment we experienced it and as many times in the future as needed. Michael-Milec The many family and friends who have been part of our lives are like jimmies on ice cream. you enjoy the ones you have but you always want more. Thank you both for reading and caring.
