Something Is Blurry - A Poem
A sudden beam of light in the darkness....
Lost in each other....lost.
I’m not sure why it happened.
I can’t see you so clearly.
Before you life had no fizz,
And life had been so dreary.
It started out of the blue,
Sped on like an avalanche,
I just thought “Can this be true?”
And wanted to take the chance.
I saw so much to admire,
A dream someone made come true,
You had set my heart on fire,
Days short for enough of you.
We laughed, loved, and loved again.
The rush enlarged that first spark.
We knew not how, where, or when.
A light focused broke the dark.
The world grew smaller then.
All else was left to see.
No time to raise my pen;
The days just you and me.
Reality stepped in.
It couldn’t ever be.
Now with eyes so blurry.
The end we didn’t see.
Like bubbles from the fizz,
The focused light went out.
Life’s back to what it is.
Dark, drear, all light’s turned out.

A love that lasts, after one that didn't.
- The Love That Lasts Hereafter
God won't punish our right choices, though difficult they be. He always hears our voices, as clear as yours to me.
Love comes in many forms.

- There Once Was Love

What defines a true leader? It isn't just charisma and sensing their power. It isn't just making us afraid so we are mobilized. It's being true, honest, fair, up front, and out front. This Haiku examines leadership.
When big money talks, simple minds listen. Our land shall be commended according to its wisdom. "There is no substitute for victory" and there is no lasting victory without unity.
