When echoes of distant relatives call out from the grave...
I unfolded my wings as I begin to soar
above streams of clouds till I could
see earth no more
then slowly gliding downward
against a moonlit ocean breeze
captivated by distant echoes
calling out endlessly
jolting, bursting, breaking free
vibrating against the tips of
my tender wings
I rested on the skirt of the
listening to the song that had
beckoned unto me
Here, here I am, Trapped
beneath this cold gloomy grave
Here, here I am, Bound
by these old rusted chains
I trembled, whimpered, sobbed
as the echoes called me by name
I knew in that moment, that time
nothing would ever erace
the murmuring of my pain
