When is National Poetry Month? April Poems
Poets: Mark Your Calendars for April
What a lovely month, thanks to Audrey Howitt.
It was her inspiration, or we would have gone without it.
A month of different poems from writers of wide range—
Poetry deep and touching, or funny, silly, strange.
Count this as my thirty, although it’s a day late.
Penning poems along with others was a feeling super great.
I didn’t write them daily—some new, some old I’d share.
But folks like Audrey did; she always had a spare!
Amazed at so much talent, from each and every poet,
I’d like to list them all, but I’d leave some out, I know it.
Just wanted to say thanks, to Audrey and every last
One of our hubbing poets—April was a blast!

Many hubbers tagged their poems with "National Poetry Month." If you will click on that tag in this poem or any other of the poems you find with the tag, a whole list of poems with that tag will show up. You can skim through the best, latest, and hottest by using this method. There were other poets who may not have used the tag and thus won't show up. If those poets are reading this, perhaps they'll go back through the poetry they wrote in April to add that tag to each one. That way, we can all look up the ones we missed this past month. Happy reading!
