The First Snowfall
Sparkling At Night
To see the ground turning all white
Like frosting a cake
Corner to corner every spot covered
The most unique design as each snowflake makes it way to the ground
Delicate and at the same time floating silently
Do miracles ever cease ?
Hearing Christmas music from afar
Seeing decorations so beautifully arranged making each home glow
Peaceful times where love is everywhere
Even a noisy car passing by can sound like bells and whistles blowing
With the wind and the tree tops shaking
I swear it was a huge pair of hands up in the sky waving
The soft sound of childrens voices
Spread laughter and fun to everyone
The first day of winter will always be remembered
As a time when there is a chill in the air
Where you can see your own breath
Before we know it Christmas will be here
So much to be thankful for and holding all our love ones in our prayers
With the new year right around the corner
Lets end this year with so many good thoughts and all the friends we know
Celebrating till our eyes close from a long day and all the happiness we have found
That can make even frosty tip his hat and grin
