The Greatest Love Story Of All.

Source

Good day to you all ; I had meant to publish my hub on Talyllyn Railway today a sequel to yesterday's http://eiddwen.hubpages.com/hub/Whispers-Of-Wonder; however I still have a little work before it is complete and I hope you enjoy this one instead .

Every time my grandchildren come to stay I teach them the names of the birds who visit our Bird Table. By now they can recognise them all and we spend so much time outside in Nature's paradise.

Ellie and Charlie are both still staying with cousins and will not be back here until tomorrow. I miss them but they need to spend time with their cousins as they don't see each other so much since Sue and Ian moved to a small village about 50 miles away.

My children and their families are very close to each other while also living their own ; which of course is very important too.

We have a new visitor to our haven and the children have named him Sammy Squirrel ;he is very cheeky and scoops his paws into the bird seed feeders so enjoying each mouthful. I know many are known to wreck the feeders but so far so good.

We had another Squirrel visiting last year but no sign of him for ages.

Back to today's hub and I share my treasured Love Story ;a love so tender ,so precious but and so true!!

Enjoy.

Skies of blue

Green fields too;

Clouds of white

A rainbow bright.

x

Leaves a-waving

Magic a-weaving;

Moments of wonder

Never asunder.

x

A great love story

Each night so starry;

Now filing my heart

A wondrous new start.

x

A great love story

full of sheer beauty;

So clear is the call

the greatest love of all !!!

Sparrows of wonder

in great numbers

to entertain

almost tame.

x

Blue Tits and Coal Tits

and the Great Tit too;

In a great number

these birds of wonder.

x

One Robin Redbreast

a solitary soul

one true loner

a true fighter.

x

Then little Jenny Wren

hopping around

all on her own

her true character shown.

x

One sweet Nuthatch

A true self pride

an image stream lined

one of a kind.

x

One bright Woodpecker

wondrously rare

mostly a loner

sweet bird of wonder.

x

A Bullfinch now visits

seldom to be seen

my so proud heart

bewitched from the start.

x

One collared Dove

Cooing her song

a beauty so rare

today to share.

x

That cheeky Blackbird

sits up high

a picture in motion

wondrous emotion.

x

Now comes a Crow

Bread being the magnet

that sleek black sheen

a wonder so keen.

x

The proud Magpie

contrast so keen

One for sorrow ,two for joy

remembered each day

on my mind to stay.

x

Then come Sammy Squirrel

with his cheeky ways

found his way to my heart

right from the start.

Little ones get to know

each bird as they fly;

Those feathered friend

so high up in the sky.

x

Enthusiasm and wonder

moments so precious;

Filling my heart

those eternal treasures

Believe in the charm

Thank you for this wonderful hub about all those birds who come to visit and eat..... and Sammy, the cheeky squirrel :-) Thank you also for your beautiful pictures.... a great way to start my day :-)

It's fantastic that you can share your knowledge about birds and your respect of nature with your grandchildren. It's a beautiful gift that they will keep forever and probably will give to their own children when they will have some.

Have a beautiful day, Eddy!

Eddy your collages are out-of-this-worls-beautiful, as you know i have a pet squirrel i call squirrely, well he got into trouble this Tuesday. I went out to start my car, the gas odor was horrible, i stepped out of the car, looked underneath and saw gas pouring out. I called a wrecker to take it in ans see what had happened. He told me my squirrely had chewed a hole in the hose, he showed me his teeth marks. The mechanic told me that he sees this a lot. I feed squirrely pecans daily so he's not hungry. Now i gotta figure out a way to make him pay a hundred and sixty eight dollars, that's what it cost to fix my car. Ha..I still love him..Loved your poetry...

Hi Ruby what a a great story (apart for the rather large bill of course) . I am enthralled when Sammy's paws curl into the openings and take out a few seeds so delicately.

I have recently got to know a lady through Dai's work as a taxi driver and she feeds a Squirrel, hedgehog and a fox as well as her own cats and a dog. I always talk every Friday as we walk down the Tesco aisles and I shall have to ask her what her name is. Dai says they call her 'ducks' because this is always her parting comment to them. 'Goodbye and thanks ducks'. I hope Squirrely doesn't provide you with too many more costly bills. Take care and have a great day Ruby. Lots of love from my little corner of Wales. Eddy.

Dear Eddy, another work of art, through and through! You capture the colors of your world so as to show me your heart and soul; we share a passion for this Earth and its creatures. I did so love seeing the birds that find enjoyment and food in your yard; and that squirrel reminds me of the family of squirrels that allow me to share their world with them here in the woods.

You keep topping yourself with every new collage you create, my friend! May you have a lovely time with your grandchildren ;) Pearl

There is something so lovely about our precious birds that visit. I have a large azalea bush right outside my dining room windows. A little momma robin has been checking that out. Daddy robin has been dancing around in a small tree nearby. There are other birds that come to play but don't stay long as the neighborhood kitties are always looking at them as if they would be a great snack.

This was a lovely journey...the pictures add so much. Angels are on the way to you this morning. ps
