Letting My Emotions Fly
When you look at each other and your eyes lock
What could you be thinking ?
Both our eyes wide open without blinking
I am feelng motivated and my creative juices our flowing
She just watched a funny sitcom and is still is laughing
The weather outside is dreary
Our cat is a little weary
Going down for a nap as her body just drops
We both have to work later
So we have two hours to kill
I rub my wifes back and she reminds me that feels so good
She scratches my head as I quiver with delight
We all have needs if we think about it or not
A comfort that can not be bought
I am looking for a special word that captures the feeling
One that covers the actions we pursue to satisfy all desires
Coming so close nose to nose
Giving in to a shyness and letting all our insecurities go
Taking enormous pride in the people we have become
Watching each others moves as if they were practiced for the first time
Closing the door behind us
Letting our passions be our guide
Off to have a little whoa-yah
As each smile intensifies even more
You can hear the sweet sounds that vibrate the hallway floor
One special time that has no personal gain
Leaving only incredible thoughts of making someone else so happy
Everyone should find the time
To stop what they are doing and say yes to something else
Even if whoa- yah isn't a word yet
It should be
It would mean stop and then say yes
Going slow and stopping for no apparent reason
Then you know it wouldn't be long
Before one of us would be saying
Yes I want more
Ever so slowly
All our good feelings uncovered a little at a time
Remembering everything in life doesn't always need to make sense or rhyme
