The Truth

Every so often a person comes into your life who makes an everlasting impression. We all know them, we have all experienced them and we all have been nurtured by their friendship. This little poem is a fleeting thought of all of those people who have touched my life in one way or another. Some of you are precious still, some of you have past on. Others will always linger in my memories. But the point that I am making, is that each and every one of you have helped me move on. Without you I would be just an empty shell, void of emotion and lacking in knowledge and wisdom.

The Dance

One two three, one two three,

the rhythm gently swaying

the music full of emotion

two minds enthralled, together

like the gentle waves of the ocean.

The hold of the dance so close

yet with open arms just fleeting

ships passing in the night

memories so special, greeting

One two three, one two three

The movement so gently dreaming

of two hearts beating

Blue eyes full of laughter

glances true and lingering.

two bodies swaying so close

glimmer of hope just singing

the dance floor fills with echoes

of minds playing games, meeting

One two three, one two three

love is like a butterly

so fragile while it is breathing

The dress is oh so stunning

the shoes with diamanté, glittering

the light, full of elation

your arms full of temptation.

gracious movement lovingly waiting

trust left in tatters, grieving.

One two three, one two three

dreams or visions casting

friendship and love everlasting

two minds dance as one

two lives across the miles, gone

friendship stays nurturing

selfless and forgiving

time has a way of healing

true friendships, always appealing.

One two three, one two three

the music gently soothing

broken hearts are moving

away from all the pain

new loves and friendships to gain

For those left behind

are truly lovers scorned

the future holds such dreams

that the music should not be mourned

One two three, one two three

the lights go down, shadows casting

on the two figures dancing

One day the sun will rise

and the stars will shine so bright

for the music on the world, friendships re-unite

trust, love and beauty

become the eyes of one

forever open to secrets, forever regretting none.
